Glass Shelves Over a Backlit Stone Niche
This West Palm Beach home has a display niche lined with backlit stone, and the owners wanted shelves that would not block the glow. ACG Glass & Metals installed three clear glass shelves of about 56 by 12 inches each across the niche.
Each shelf is clear monolithic glass held on polished chrome U-channels fixed to the sides of the niche, so there are no brackets under the glass and the light from the stone passes through every shelf.
In the same visit ACG fitted a 1/4 inch clear tempered glass top over the existing desk of the home office, which protects the dark finish of the desk and keeps it easy to clean.
