Spigot Mounted Glass Railings with a Matte Black Cap Rail
This Boca Raton home opens onto a two story foyer, with a wood tread staircase that climbs to an open landing overlooking the front entry. The owners wanted the stair and the upper landing to stay as open as possible, so the entire railing was built in glass.
Every panel is 1/2 inch clear monolithic tempered glass held on a matte black spigot system, with a machine high polish on all edges. A low profile matte black cap rail sits on top of the glass in segments, following the rake of the stair and turning at each corner of the landing.
ACG Glass & Metals handled the full scope, including materials, deliveries and installation. The result keeps the foyer, the chandelier and the arched windows in full view from both floors, with nothing but a thin black line marking the edge of the stair.
