Sliding Glass Shower Enclosure in Satin Brass
This bathroom on Muirfield Circle in Greenacres is long and narrow, with the toilet and vanity sitting right in front of the shower opening. A swinging door would have cut into that walkway, so the homeowners chose a sliding glass enclosure that opens and closes inside its own footprint.
The enclosure uses 3/8 inch clear monolithic tempered glass with one fixed panel and one sliding panel that rides on an exposed header rail with roller hardware. The opening measures about 58 inches wide by 78 inches tall, and every panel was fabricated to the field measurements taken after the tile was finished.
All hardware is finished in satin brass, from the rollers and header rail to the long towel bar style handle, which adds a warm accent against the white and gray marble look tile. The clear glass keeps the full height of the shower wall visible and makes the small room feel larger.
