A Clear Shower and an Acid Etched Shower
This Wharton Way residence in West Palm Beach replaced the glass in two showers, each with its own purpose. One is the main shower, finished in travertine look tile, and the other sits in a smaller alcove where privacy mattered more than the view.
The main shower received a frameless enclosure in 3/8″ clear monolithic tempered glass, about 68 9/16″ wide by 76″ high, so the tile work and the mosaic accent band stay on display.
For the second shower, about 39″ wide by 76″ high, we used 3/8″ clear tempered glass with an acid etched finish. The etched surface softens what is behind it while still letting light through. Both enclosures have a polished chrome hardware finish.
