Low Iron Glass in the Primary and Kids Baths
For this Mill Creek Drive home in Palm Beach Gardens we glassed in two showers at once: the primary bath and the kids bathroom. Both were built frameless in 3/8 inch low iron tempered glass, which removes the green tint of standard clear glass so the tile reads true through every panel.
In the primary bath the shower sits beside the soaking tub, behind a stone knee wall. The glass runs from the top of that wall to the ceiling line and closes the opening with a frameless door, keeping the window and the tile wall in full view from the tub.
The kids bathroom is a tiled alcove closed with a frameless door and fixed panel. Both showers use brushed nickel hinges and handles, and both were treated with EnduroShield, a protective coating that helps water bead off the glass and makes daily cleaning easier.
