Exterior Glass Railings | SW 14th Place Residence

Frameless Glass Railings on the Balconies and Waterfront Patio

This Boca Raton home sits on the water, so every outdoor space was planned around the view of the canal. The owners wanted the upper balconies and the patio along the seawall to feel open, with a railing that keeps everyone safe without putting anything between them and the water.

The glass runs in a continuous black base shoe set into the balcony and patio floors, with no posts and no top rail. Where a run turns a corner, the panels are joined with black glass to glass clamps, and the black finish ties the railing to the window and door frames of the house.

On the patio the glass follows the edge of the pool deck above the dock, so the lounge area and the pool keep a clear view of the canal from every seat.
