Frameless shower door styles
Pick the layout,
we cut the glass to it.
Every style below is installed in South Florida homes by our crews. Open one to see its hardware and more photos, or browse the real projects behind it.
A hinged door next to a fixed panel. The layout we install the most, for showers with one open side.
Glass on an angled corner base, with the door on the center panel. Made for corner showers.
Two walls of glass that meet at a right angle, often on a knee wall, with the door on either side.
A sliding door on a top rail that gives the enclosure a floating look. No hinges to clear.
A top roller system with four rollers per door for a smooth slide. Good for wide openings.
Two panels that slide past each other between metal side jambs. Classic sliding, fits showers and tubs.
One fixed panel and no door, for walk-in showers and over tubs.

Less common layouts we also install. Each one has its own page with photos and hardware.
Shower glass and hardware
The glass and the finish
change how the shower looks.
Clear or low iron? Slide to see it.
The same shower through both glasses. Standard clear glass adds a light green cast to white tile; low iron removes it.

All shower glass is tempered safety glass. Choose the thickness, then the type.
10 mm. The standard for most showers.
12 mm. Heavier and more solid, for large panels.
EnduroShield coating: optional easy clean protection that makes water bead and run off the glass.
Clear
Standard tempered glass, with the light green tint you see on the edge. Privacy: low.
Low iron
Extra clear, without the green tint. White tile looks white. Privacy: low.
Acid etched
Smooth frosted finish that lets light through. Privacy: high.
Acid etched low iron
Frosted and bright white, without the green tint. Privacy: high.
Hardware finishes
Hinges, handles, clamps and sliding rails come in matching finishes, so the shower ties in with the faucets and fixtures. Tap a finish to see it.

Frameless shower door FAQ
Questions we answer
every week.
Still not sure about something? Call us and an estimator will walk you through it.
What is a frameless shower door?
A shower door made of heavy tempered glass, 3/8″ or 1/2″ thick, held by hinges and clips instead of a metal frame around the glass. Without the frame the bathroom looks bigger, the tile stays in view and there are fewer edges where water and soap build up.
How much does a frameless shower door cost?
It depends on the size and number of panels, the style (sliding systems carry more hardware), the glass thickness and type, the coating and the hardware finish. Our shower door calculator gives you an instant quote for your layout, and the estimate after we measure is free.
Should I choose 3/8" or 1/2" glass?
3/8″ is the standard for most residential showers and keeps the door lighter on its hinges. 1/2″ feels more solid and is common in large primary showers and tall panels. We tell you which one your layout needs when we measure.
When do you measure for the glass?
After the tile and the curb are finished. The glass is cut to exact measurements and cannot be trimmed on site, so we measure the finished walls, check them for plumb and only then order the glass.
Do frameless shower doors leak?
A swinging door needs a small gap to open, so we install a sweep along the bottom of the door and seal the fixed panels with silicone. With the shower head aimed at a wall or a panel, the water stays inside.
How do I keep the glass clean?
Ask for the EnduroShield easy clean coating: it makes water bead and run off, so spots and soap scum do not stick as easily. A squeegee after each shower does the rest.
Clear or low iron glass?
Clear glass has a slight green tint that shows on the edges. Low iron glass removes most of it, so white and marble tile look truer through the glass. If you want privacy, both come in an acid etched finish.
Do you install shower doors for condos, hotels and new construction?
Yes. For buildings with repeatable unit types we measure and price by the floor: see commercial showers.
Which areas do you serve?
Martin, Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties, from our shop in West Palm Beach. That includes Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Fort Lauderdale. See all service areas.
